Gustavo Requejo – December 2011 Report
Greetings,
During this time the Lord has been teaching me to really give myself to the work of pastoring and most of all in the area of not being careless in my care for the flock in the midst of my own needs and worries.
The end of last year was a good time to evaluate the church, its commitment and my own, its holiness and my own, its growth and my own. It also was a good time to seek the Lord in prayer asking for help to be able to work with the church in each of these areas. God granted us a very special time during which we prayed together and considered the needs of our church. We shared our needs with one another and in this way we showed our love for one another. What really stood out to everyone was the way that this sharing occurred very naturally and spontaneously.
The teaching during this month has had to do with examining one’s self and with being confirmed in the Lord. Brother Ronal has been helping with the teaching of the book of 1 John. I have been teaching a more topical series on “The Fruits of Believers.” Our meetings continue to develop and I hope that we will continue to grow in doing all that the Lord commands us to do as a church.
During this time I have been sharing with some other pastors about the possibility of opening and leading a Mobile Bible Academy that supports churches where they are, helping them to raise up leaders in their churches. This project will be starting in February. Please pray for us regarding this endeavor.
