Eder Machuca – December 2011 Report
Brothers,
On Tuesday the 6th I had the chance to visit the brothers who are meeting in Surco. I shared with them a teaching from 1 John about the fruits of the new birth. It was a beautiful time where we examined our lives in light of Scripture and we gave glory to God for the many mercies shown to us.
This has also been a time in which I have grown in the area of evangelism. During the week I have gone out to evangelize (together with Junior) in the neighborhood where our church meets here in Barranco. Also, every Wednesday I have been visiting the brothers who live in La Molina and we have been going out to evangelize together as well.
Also, I will now be helping to lead the group that is meeting in Los Olivos. Throughout the week I am visiting each member of this congregation and we are meeting all together on Thursdays to study the Word and to pray. We are also meeting on Sunday afternoons to study the book “Biblical Discipleship.” On Thursdays we are studying the book of Ephesians and on Saturdays we are going out to evangelize together. Some of the brothers are also going out on their own to evangelize during the week.
I ask you to pray for the church in Los Olivos. Pray that the Lord would lead us to an adequate meeting place. Up until now we have been meeting in a home, but because of the growth of the group, we have begun praying about another meeting place.
