Sam (Egypt) – March 2012
Continue to remember Pastor Sam as he labors in Egypt. As you’ll be able to see from this update, the Lord is blessing aspects of his work, yet the political and social stability of the city in which he works remains a constant issue.
The Lord filled our hearts with joy when a sister tearfully asked to submit her life to Christ, confessing every sin in her heart, and asked to accept Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She has encouraged her husband to come and attend the meetings with us and the Lord started to deal with them in such a powerful way.
Now, we have a weekly meeting on Saturday, for young people. The leaders within the church are helping me in serving the young people. We are visiting them, we are discussing with them the subjects that occupy their minds, and we are studying the Bible together. We clarify to them the importance of being born again. Many times we confront them with the Biblical truth, which are contrary to the false teachings they have acquired that are far from Biblical truth.
After the riots at the football game in the city where we live, it has become very dangerous. Our city has been isolated from the other cities, and its position has become dangerous compared to the other Egyptian cities. Demonstrations have increased and there a young man died and many have been injured.
Please pray for Sam and the work that he continues to do in Egypt.
