Upcoming Trip to Peru

I am writing this blog to inform you concerning my upcoming trip to Peru and to ask that you labor with me in your prayers during this trip. I have now been working with HeartCry for three months as a coordinator for the work in South America, and this will be my first trip to Peru. I will leave this Thursday morning (January 31) and will be traveling until February 23. I ask that you be in prayer for the missionaries that I will be visiting, and for the ministries in which they are laboring.

For the first two weeks I will be traveling along with HeartCry missionaries Igor Dias and Eddy Solano to visit some of the missionaries that HeartCry partners with in Tarapoto and Cusco.  During these trips we will be meeting with the missionaries, as well as teaching in some of the churches that we visit. Please pray for these first few weeks, that the Lord would grant understanding and discernment in knowing how to advance His work in Peru in conformity to His will. We are in need of His help always.

Upon returning to Lima, we will hold a pastor’s conference for the men in South America with whom HeartCry  partners.  Teaching at this conference will be John Snyder and Anthony Mathenia, and the matter will be “The Biblical Pattern for Shepherding Souls.” Charo Washer will also be teaching the wives of the missionaries and some of the women of the local church. My prayer is that the Lord will use this conference to spur the men on to greater love for Christ and a greater ambition to care for the flock with which they have been entrusted, and that their wives would come to a deeper understanding of the love of Christ. Please, help us through your prayers in asking the Lord to pour out a special anointing on the teaching and that He might cause much fruit to come from the conference for His glory.
